My directory listing
In short
Devivolt publishes a public directory, where private customers look for an electrician near them. Your listing goes online with one button, and comes off the same way. It only shows what you have decided to make public.
The screen: More tab → My directory listing.
Publishing
- Check that your company name and your city are filled in (see Your company details). Without them, a listing has nothing to show.
- Click Publish my listing. It becomes visible to everyone, and search engines can find it.
What your listing shows
- Your company: its name, its city, its logo and your qualifications.
- The facts of the Sirene register: the year your establishment was created, its headcount band (and the year it was observed), its SIRET and the date of its last update in the register. They are read from the Sirene listing of your SIRET: nothing to type, and nothing you can edit — that is what makes them credible.
- Your RGE qualification, if you hold one (the French label for energy-renovation contractors): it appears by itself, read from the list of RGE companies published by the ADEME, as "RGE · Photovoltaïque" or "RGE · Pompe à chaleur", with its source and the date it was read in the legend of "The company in brief". Nothing to type, and it stays apart from the qualifications you declare yourself; an expired one, or one the list no longer carries, leaves at the monthly replay.
- Your décennale insurance (the compulsory ten-year building liability cover), said to be "declared up to date" when it is — never "verified".
- Your customers' reviews, all born of settled invoices.
- Your service area, as communes: the postal codes you recorded in Receiving quote requests are turned into commune names, the most populated first ("Serves Nantes, Rezé, Vertou… and 8 more communes"). Past twelve, "and N more communes" opens the full list, in alphabetical order. It shows whatever your plan, and your listing also shows in the list of each of these communes in the directory (see Ranking higher). With no postal code recorded, your commune and its neighbours act as your zone: quote requests reach you from there, and the section says so. Then come the neighbouring communes of yours, with their distance — a geographic landmark of the directory, not a statement of yours.
- Your address, only if you ask for it: the Show my address on my listing box is unticked by default, because the address of a sole trader is often their home. Tick it for the address to appear in "The company in brief"; untick it to remove it at once.
The listing gathers these facts in a "The company in brief" table, sums up in a few lines what it guarantees, and answers four frequent questions (where you work, how to ask you for a quote, where the reviews come from, whether you are insured) — written from your listing, never one text for everyone.
Your presentation
It is the only part of the listing you write: a short text (800 characters at most, two paragraphs) and, below it, the jobs you offer — the same wording as the quote request form, so that a customer finds what they read.
The screen: My directory listing → What you say about yourself → Save my presentation.
- The text is published at once, without review, and the listing marks it as "declared by the company".
- It may carry neither a phone number, nor an e-mail, nor a website: saving is refused and the field tells you so. Private customers write to you through the quote request.
- Devivolt may remove a presentation afterwards if it breaks one of the published rules (contact details, a certification you do not hold, words about another electrician, insults). You receive an e-mail with the rule concerned, the text stays readable in your settings with the motive, the jobs you offer stay shown, and you can rewrite it: it is published again at once.
The full rules are published on the directory, page "Rules of reviews and listings".
Your availability
In My directory listing → Your availability, give for each day up to two time ranges (on the quarter hour); leave the fields empty for a closed day. The Copy Monday over the week button lays Monday over Tuesday to Friday; Clear the hours removes the section from the listing.
The listing shows the table from Monday to Sunday, marking the current day — it never says "open now": the page may be read hours after it was displayed, and the reader has a watch. The Emergency service outside these hours box adds a line, always marked as declared by the company, never "24/7".
Your work photos
In My directory listing → Your work, publish up to six photos of worksites (JPEG, PNG or WebP, 5 MB at most), each with a short caption. For each photo you tick a box: no identifiable person, no readable address or plate, and you have the right to publish it. Without the box, nothing is published.
The listing shows them as a grid, the caption serving as the alternative text; a click opens the large image. You reorder them with Move up and Move down, and remove one with Remove: the file is erased with it. Devivolt may remove a photo afterwards (a recognisable person, a readable address…) telling you the rule concerned; it stays visible in your settings with the motive. Your photos are deleted with your account.
Your Google listing
If your business has Google reviews, your listing can show, apart from the verified reviews and under the title "Google reviews", your Google rating and your five latest Google reviews, with the date they were read. Every night we look for the Google listing of the published pages by the name of the business and its commune; we only publish sure matches, and never choose between two homonyms. The Google rating also shows on your card in the lists, apart from your Devivolt rating. It does not count in the ranking of your listing and does not enter the data read by search engines: only your verified reviews count. It only orders the unclaimed Sirene listings among themselves, always behind the electricians who joined.
In My directory listing → Your Google listing, you have the last word:
- This is my listing confirms the Google listing found; it stays shown even if a visitor reports it.
- Hide the block takes the "Google reviews" section off your listing; you can show it again.
- Use this listing replaces the listing found by yours: on Google Maps, open your listing, choose Share and paste the link. We read your rating within minutes, and the block appears once the reading is done.
An account's listing is re-read every month, an unclaimed one every three months; the date of the reading is written under the block.
What it never shows
Neither your phone number, nor your e-mail, nor your bank details, nor the details of your insurance contract.
Private customers contact you through a quote (devis) request form, not by calling you straight from the page. That spares you cold calls.
"Your city was not recognised"
Your listing is published, but it does not yet appear on a city page — and that is where most visitors come from. Check the spelling of the city and the postal code in your company settings.
A listing existed before I signed up
The directory already contains listings created from public business data. There may be one in your name. By signing up with the same SIRET (your business registration number), you claim it: it becomes yours, with your information, and its web address does not change.
The shortest way starts from the listing itself: the Claim your listing link on the page (or the QR code of a Devivolt letter or flyer) opens a page that shows the listing as it appears and what you gain by claiming it, then a Claim my listing button. You sign in with your e-mail, and the My company step arrives pre-filled from the Sirene register: check it, complete what the register does not know, save. Saving is what attaches the listing to your account — nothing is published without you, and a SIRET already claimed by another account is flagged under the field.
Completing your listing
Under the preview of My directory listing, one line says how many elements your listing shows — "5 of 7 elements filled in" — and lists what is missing, each gap leading to the screen where it is filled: the logo and the qualifications in your company settings, the décennale insurance in its own screen, the presentation, the jobs, the hours and the service area on this page. Nothing is mandatory, nothing blocks, and the dot on the "My directory listing" row of your settings only flags an unpublished listing. A complete listing is simply one a customer picks more often.
Removing your listing
Remove my listing from the directory: it no longer appears anywhere. It is immediate, and you can publish again later. If you have no Devivolt account and want a listing in your name removed, the link to ask for it is on the listing itself.
