Ideas and reports

In short

Something is not working? Say so in a minute from the app, with a screenshot if you have one. We answer by e-mail, and you follow what becomes of your report under My feedback.

The screen: More menu → Ideas & reports → Report a problem. From an error page, the Report this problem button opens the same form with the reference already filled in.

Report a problem

  1. Sum the issue up in one sentence: "The quote PDF comes out empty", "The total does not update".
  2. Tell what happened: what you did, what you expected, what came out. The more concrete, the faster we fix it.
  3. Attach up to three screenshots if you have any (5 MB each). On a computer, you can paste a screenshot straight into the form.
  4. Send the report. You get a number ("Report #42 received"): quote it if you call us.
What we see

A person reads your report, screenshots included. Do not attach data of your clients you would rather not show us. We never read your quotes or invoices otherwise.

What we attach automatically

So we understand faster without you having to describe it, the form attaches a few technical details, listed under What we attach automatically before you send:

  • the page you report from (its address, without what you had typed there);
  • the version of the app and the version of our servers;
  • your browser, your screen size, the interface language;
  • whether you were online or offline, and whether the app is installed on the device;
  • the reference shown by the error page, when you come from there.

Nothing else: never the content of a quote, an invoice or a client record.

What we do with your screenshots. Only your account and we can read them, and they are deleted 90 days after the report is closed. The text of a report follows your account and disappears with it.

If the connection drops

The text you type is kept on your device. If the network cuts out before sending, you find your draft again when you come back to the form, and you send it once the connection is back.

Propose an idea, support the others'

The Ideas tab of the Ideas & reports screen lists what the other electricians ask for, from every account, and what the product made of it. Every idea carries a status (Received, Under review, Planned, In progress, Live, Not retained) and its interest.

  1. Read the ideas, sorted by interest or by date, and search a word of the title before proposing.
  2. I want it: you support the idea. It would bother me: you voice a concern, which only we see. A second click withdraws your thumb, a click on the other one changes it.
  3. Propose an idea: one sentence and a few lines. As you type the title, similar ideas show up: supporting one of them weighs more than creating a new one. Your idea is born with your support.

How the interest counts

The interest adds the supports up, and every voice has a weight: ×1 to start, +0.05 per quote your account got signed in Devivolt over the last six months, up to ×4 (sixty signed quotes). The line at the top of the list tells you your weight. It is remembered when you vote; changing your vote updates it.

You never see the name of another electrician, only their department, and nobody sees yours. Concerns are never displayed: they help us decide, that is all.

Five ideas a day per account; votes are not limited.

Follow what I sent

The My feedback tab lists everything your account sent, reports and ideas, the open ones first. Every row carries the current status; a New reply dot marks a feedback we wrote on since your last visit.

Open a feedback to read its history: the status changes with our word, our replies, your precisions. On a report, you also find your screenshots and what the form had attached.

  • Add a precision: one more detail, the answer to a question we asked you (status Details requested), or "it is back" on a fixed report. It stays possible up to thirty days after the closure; beyond that, send a new report.
  • Solved on my side closes a report that no longer occurs for you.

The statuses of a report: Received, Details requested, Being analysed, In progress, then Fixed, Not reproduced, Not retained, Duplicate or Solved on my side. A Fixed or Live feedback is announced to you by e-mail.

The members and the owner of one account see the same feedback; each keeps their own vote.

What's new

The What's new tab lists what shipped because electricians asked for it: the ideas now Live and the reports Fixed over the last three months, with our note and the number of electricians who asked for the idea. A you asked for it mention marks what you proposed or supported. The latest novelty of the month also shows as one line on your home screen.

When an idea you supported ships, you are told by e-mail. A link in each e-mail, or Settings → My data, stops these news; the answers to your own feedback carry on.

How many reports a day

Ten reports a day per account. Beyond that, the form tells you and offers to write to us.
