Ranking higher in the directory

In short​

The ranking takes three things into account, in this order: proximity, your presence on Devivolt, then the quality of your reviews. The Visibilité plan adds a small boost, capped and shown publicly. It never overrides relevance.

What counts, in order​

  1. Proximity. Someone searching in their city sees the electricians of that city first, then those of the neighboring towns. No subscription brings you closer to a city where you are not. Your service area, however, lists you among the electricians of every commune it covers, with a slight handicap: with equal reviews, the electrician based in the commune ranks above you, even if you subscribe. Your card there reads "intervient à …" (serves …).
  2. Your presence on Devivolt. The Sirene register listings nobody has claimed always rank after the electricians who joined, in the same area, whatever their Google rating. Among themselves, they are ranked on what the directory knows of them: a verified e-mail address first, their Google rating next. Your own listing is never ranked on its Google rating.
  3. Your reviews. The average rating and the number of reviews both count: ten reviews at 4.8 weigh more than a single review at 5. It is the most effective lever, and the slowest to build.
  4. The Visibilité boost, capped: it moves you a little, never a lot. Referrals give one too, half as big, from your active referrals. A listing that benefits from it carries the Highlighted label, in the lists as on its page. During the free trial, no boost: only the paid Visibilité plan opens it, and for now it is limited to its existing subscribers (see My subscription).

What cannot be bought​

  • A place in a city where you do not work.
  • Your rating: nobody can edit, hide or buy a review.
  • The removal of a competitor.

How to move up​

  1. Complete your listing: name, city, logo, qualifications — then your presentation and your jobs, your hours, your service area. An empty listing inspires little trust, and My directory listing tells you what is missing.
  2. Keep your décennale insurance up to date (the compulsory ten-year building liability cover): the listing shows that you are covered.
  3. Let your reviews grow: they come on their own after a facture de solde (balance invoice) is paid, as long as you invoice in Devivolt.
  4. Reply to reviews, even the harshest ones. A calm reply reads better than silence.
