The setup walk-through
In short
Five steps stand between you and your first quote: your company, your décennale insurance (the compulsory ten-year liability cover for building work), your pricing, your documents, your e-invoices. You can do them in several sittings. Devivolt always remembers where you left off.
The five steps
| Step | What you are asked for | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Your company | Name, legal form, SIRET, address, VAT, a way to reach you | These details must appear on a quote |
| Your décennale insurance | Insurer, its address, area covered, expiry date | The law requires them on your quotes and invoices |
| Your pricing | Your hourly rate and your margin on supplies | Usual values are proposed: Continue is enough to validate the step |
| Your documents | Your logo, the color, the default values — and your starting number if you come from another software | Nothing is required here: the step counts as done once the logo is in |
| Your e-invoices | The nature of your operations, the VAT option, linking your Super PDP account | Usual values are proposed: the step counts as done once your Super PDP account is linked |
A sixth line, Your first quote, completes the progress ("5 steps out of 6"). It ticks itself when you create your first quote. It blocks nothing; it is just a marker.
How to do it
- On your first sign-in, Devivolt takes you straight to the first step. After that, as long as a required detail is missing, a Setup to finish banner shows at the top of every screen, with your progress and the button Resume my setup.
- Each step fits on one screen, with Continue at the bottom (or This is my company after a SIRET search). I will do this later moves to the next step without saving anything. Stop whenever you like, through the menu or by closing the window: what has been saved is kept.
- The first step also asks for your full name, which is optional: it is used to greet you and appears on no document.
- At the end, the You are ready screen (or Almost ready, with the list of what is left) offers Create my first quote.
- The reminder banner disappears as soon as the company and the insurance are complete.
You do not have to go through it. The same screens are available at any time in the Settings menu, which marks the screens still incomplete with a dot and flags the required fields.
"Some information required to issue a quote or an invoice is missing"
This message is only about what prevents you from sending a quote or an invoice. You can work normally: create drafts, price them, save everything. It is when you issue the document that the file must be complete.
An incomplete quote can be disputed Better five minutes of settings at the start than thirty quotes to redo.
Coming back later
The progress is calculated from what you have filled in. Close the window, come back in three days, switch computer: you find the same state.
