Invoicing a deposit

In short

On a signed devis (quote), the Invoice this quote card offers a facture d'acompte (deposit invoice): a percentage of the total including VAT. Devivolt works out the matching VAT and checks that the deposits never add up to more than the quote.

How to do it

  1. Open the signed quote. The Invoice this quote card shows the Deposits already invoiced and what is Left to invoice.
  2. In the Deposit (%) field, type a percentage (for example 30 % — the field starts with the deposit planned on the quote), then Raise a deposit invoice.
  3. The invoice is created as a draft. Check it, then Issue it.

Like a quote, an invoice exists only for you until it is issued. Once issued, it no longer changes.

Several deposits

That is possible: 30 % on order, 40 % during the site work, the facture de solde (balance invoice) at the end. Devivolt counts the deposits already invoiced and shows what is left.

If you prepare two deposits at the same time and their total goes over the quote, the second one is refused when you issue it.

What the deposit invoice carries

It shows the original quote (Attached to), one line per VAT rate, and its Due date, worked out from your payment terms.
